Eleven Fifty: Part Six
Betty Rohmer. For those who haven’t watched Dead Like Me, well, be sure to get caught up! Those that have watched DLM will understand the importance of Betty. She was written off the show in Season One, never to be seen again. I won’t go into the reasons why here, but a quick search will get you the inside scoop on Betty and the amazing actress who played her, Rebecca Gayheart.
Betty Rohmer (in my mind) represents the first time studio interference led Bryan to make the toughest of decisions– leaving a show he created to preserve his creative integrity and vision. This has happened more than once, but as fictional Bryan said in Chapter 11– he always stays true to himself, no matter the cost.
Unfortunately, when good ideas have no where to go, they take on a life of their own. For better or worse, Betty is back in Bryan’s life, and things will NOT be easy for the cast of Mind Palace.
See you in two days!
