Hey hey, Fannibals! We’re back with our Featured Artist segment, spotlighting the work of Alisa. Introduce yourself, Alisa!

Hi! I’m Alisa and mostly I draw fan art. I got into Hannibal not long ago, knowing that the series was cancelled, but I really loved this series. That beautiful, dark, super aesthetic world is very inspiring to me, as well as the dynamic of the relationship between the main characters. Many thanks to Bryan Fuller and everyone who participated in the creation of this show.

It’s great to be a part of Hannibal fandom, to share my work with others, to see the work of other artists and keep creating.

Speaking of sharing, here are a few of Alisa’s Hannibal inspired pieces:

Featured Artist: Ollie

Happy 2020, everyone! We at Mind Palace hope that the new year is treating you right and want to brighten your week with a featured artist spotlight. Take it away, Ollie!

Heya, I’m Ollie! I’m a trans man (he/him pronouns), and freelance artist from the UK. I’ve been drawing all my life, and became a full time artist in 2016. Some of my main interests besides Hannibal are true crime, cryptids, and mead (it’s a great drink, ok?!). I do many commissions for clients in the Furry fandom and would love to do more work in Hannibal fandom as I really enjoy bringing peoples ideas (or fics) to life, and have had some excellent experiences with that!

I got into Hannibal in November 2017 and binge watched it in a few days. I was hooked pretty fast. I really enjoy noticing something new every time I rewatch the show or talk with other Fannibals. I’ve made so many wonderful friends thanks to the Fannibal fandom who have helped me through some tough times. I like drawing Will and Hannibal based on ideas of alternate universes involving mythical creatures or cryptids.

Here are a few select pieces:

Featured Artist: VenomSnake

Happy New Year, y’all! Today we’re ringing in the new decade with another featured artist spotlight. Meet VenomSnake!

Hi, my name’s Will. No relation to Mr. Graham! I only got into Hannibal at this December out of a craving to see more Mads Mikkelsen after witnessing his wonderful performance in Death Stranding. It exceeded my expectations going into it in just the first few episodes; it’s incredibly finely crafted, well-acted and has a balanced, powerful cast, and (perhaps my favorite part) it satisfies me as a horror fan. The contrast of the brutality of murder & Hannibal’s high-class lifestyle makes for some very striking imagery.

Style-wise, I enjoy doing portraits most of all; usually semi-realistic, rough digital paintings. Subject-wise, I have fun drawing smug villains. Mr. Mikkelsen has a very classical face with unique features, so it’s extra fun for me to paint him and get his resemblance down. He’s pretty irresistible in a suit & tie, too. He really checks off all my boxes.

Thank you for featuring me!

And thank you for allowing us to! Here are a few select pieces from Will’s portfolio:

Featured Artist: Karla Del Cid

Hey hey, Fannibal Family! Thank you so much for the support of our Season Three launch! It’s been a bit of a whirlwind these past two weeks, with hundreds of new readers finding the series.  We owe it all to you for helping to spread the word. Keep it up!

Speaking of spreading the good word, we here at Mind Palace LOVE sharing our fellow fannibal’s artwork, and this week we’re proud to present the work of Karla Del Cid! Take it away, Karla!

Hi, I’m Karla Delakidd and I’m a Toronto artist that draws inspiration from mythology and horror. I came across Hannibal very late, and way after it’s cancellation. As soon as I began watching, I immediately devoured Fuller’s vision- and oh man, what a vision! How could murders be beautiful? How could you come to sympathize for a cannibal villain? The plot is so tightly constructed and the characters charming, as soon as I finished the final season, I dove into these tarot designs for the series.

Because of the immediate and loving support of Fannibal community, I was able to create two more designs, the Wendigo and Ravenstag set.

The Hannibal fandom is easily one of the most supportive and inviting fandoms I’ve ever come across. I’m super grateful for their presence, voices and my god- the bloody fantastic artwork produced by all the fans of the show. I’m definitely going to keep creating artwork inspired by the dark, beautiful, rich and deep world of Hannibal. Many thanks to Bryan Fuller for being bold enough to make such a horrifying, beautiful, messed up world.

Thanks to Karla for allowing us to post her amazing work! If you’d like to see more of Karla’s work, follow her at @DelaKidd on Twitter and on Instagram. You can also purchase her pins, plaques, and ceramic work on Etsy.

Featured Artist: Vati

Yes, the comic is on a break until December 3rd, but that doesn’t mean we’re dead! Today for your viewing pleasure, we’re featuring the art of Vati!

Howdy! I’m Vati and I’m a California artist who dabbles in fanart sometimes 😛

I look up to artists like Bouguereau, Bernini, and Jacques-Louis David but my main inspiration comes from Hannibal. I’m all about the gore, the romance, and the tragedy, baby!

I got into Hannibal when it first aired (back when I was still in high school oof) and have been hopelessly in love ever since. I actually started painting because I loved the aesthetic and imagery of the show so much. All I wanted was to make something as spicy, beautiful, and emotional. I’m still growing as an artist and trying to discover my style and I’m really fortunate to have people in the fandom who like my art and encourage me to keep going!

I, for one, and blown away by Vati’s work. If you’re inclined, follow their work on Tumblr , Twitter , and purchase their work on Etsy!
